 DNS Server
Our DNS name servers are as follows:
ns1.pattayamedia.com
ns2.pattayamedia.com
If you have purchased a domain name from another domain providor, but you wish to have AWebOnline host your website, then you would have to change your domain name settings so they point to our servers (as seen above).
It is just like if you move house and you need to forward your letters to your new address or if you have an old telephone number that you need to divert to a new number. This is what DNS is for. When someone types in a website address in a browser, the browser will point that domain to the correct server where your website will be sitting online.
DNS stands for "Domain Name System" and is an Internet directory service. DNS is how domain names are translated into IP addresses, and DNS also controls email delivery. If your computer cannot access DNS, your web browser will not be able to find web sites, and you will not be able to receive or send email.
The DNS system consists of three components: DNS data (called resource records), servers (called name servers), and Internet protocols for fetching data from the servers.
